Your holiday place

I don’t know if you’ve already tasted the “chocolate with churros”, if not, you’re missing one of the pleasures of life. I love “Chocolate with churros”. When I was child my mother made them herself for my siblings and me. Sometimes after school we were received at home with this surprise, it was an animated party for all of us. After that, our faces gave us away because they ended up full of chocolate and a wide smile.

The chocolate with churros are like a happy couple, always together and in harmony. A perfect combination. The chocolate is served hot and thick in a mug. The smell invites you to drink it just the moment you have it in front of you.  Normally the churros come a few minutes later, and it is impossible to avoid the temptation to taste that cup of chocolate. The churros are also served hot, you can order one, two, three …the quantity you want or you can eat 😉 they also have a succulent smell that combines in harmony with the chocolate. You can sprinkle a little sugar over the churros, or not, it depends how sweet you are 😉

Once you have both on the table, you take one churro and dip it into the warm chocolate. Then, it is when a delicious fusion is done and you can taste the result of this perfect combination. It doesn´t matter how hungry you are, you will always have space for a cup of chocolate with churros, because they are irresistible.

I usually share them with my family and friends, and I am not sure if it is a question of attitude or the fact that the “chocolate with churros” give you some kind of good mood, but it happens that we always spend a really good moments when we meet to eat “chocolate with churros”.

You will find a lot of cafes in Fuengirola where you can eat a good “chocolate with churros”, some of them are called “churrerías”, they are more specialized in this product. I will tell you about those places one where I have already been, and I recommend you : “Cafetería Costa del Sol” (street: Marbella 3) and “La despensa de Martín y Pérez” (street: Calle Coronel Ripollet). Both are located in the center of Fuengirola. I have discovered recently a new place really nice. It is called “Tejeringo’s Coffee” (street: Paseo Jesús Santos Rein, 1), you have to go 😉

You may think that perhaps it is not a good idea in July or August, to order a “chocolate with churros” at 15:00 hours, when the sand of the beach is burning 🙂 Yes, it is true that it is in those months when the heat is lower, when they are ordered more often. 

There is a tradition in New year’s Eve, the cafes open at 06:00 am and people go there to start the new year eating a cup of “ chocolate with churros”, after spending all the night celebrating the new year.

Just a remark, if you someday visit Madrid, you will find there one of the most famous“churrerias”, visited by a lot of famous people. It is called “San Ginés”, opened in 1894. It is located close to “puerta del sol” in the street: “Pasadizo San Ginés, 5, Madrid, Spain “

Whatever the season is, I can assure you that there will always be a good moment, to sit down and enjoy a cup of “chocolate with churros”.  What do you think?
